Last Week With the F4

Spinach and arugula salad with tomatoes, avocado, and sliced raw almonds for lunch with my mother. And of course, some persimmon for dessert.

My parents and I spent some time in Old East Dallas before heading down to Austin for the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find some local gems around there, although I probably should never go down there by myself.

Lastly, my parents got $1 espresso shots at Jimmy's where we ate lunch. I swear I inherited my addiction to coffee from those two.
All shot on the Nikon F4 w/ Fujifilm 200.

Peaceful Mornings

Have you ever wondered why certain things happen to you, and you simply don't understand the reasons behind everything? You thought you were in an honest environment but the whole time you've been cheated out of things you deserve?
Well...enough said. I'm ready to pounce on that wedding tomorrow, with honest intensions and just the willingness to work hard the best I can. I thank God for everything at this moment, because Christ who lives in me has already won over everything.

More Oak Cliff

Walking around the Bishop Arts District before we got attacked by some crazy rain!

And last but not least...one of the cutest couples I know! KK & Jessica.

Oh, and I'm head over heels infatuated with the Portra.

Brunch at Oddfellow's (again and again)

A monthly trip down to Oak Cliff is a must, since I feel that there are still many places to be explored over there. So when a group of us planned on eating brunch at Oddfellow's for this past Saturday, I had to bring my Nikon fm10 out *wipes off the dust*. It was unusually foggy on Saturday, not to mention the disgusting humidity that reminded me of Galveston. I was nonetheless happy about the pretty lighting. Little did I know my gawking of the soft lighting of a cloudy day would soon turn into an unhappy roar about having to eat in wet clothes and wet hair after running in the pouring rain.

We were completely soaked by the time we actually got a table at Oddfellow's, but the food and the coffee, especially, were all so worth the drive, the wait and the rain.

And this last photo is from my iPhone. Brisket hash = genius.

Last week, I graced myself with some flowers from Whole Foods after not being able to find basil and rosemary plants. They were on sale, and I really wanted some fresh plants to freshen up my mood for some reason.

White daisies + Peruvian Lillies = surprisingly a beautiful combo.

This is Portra on the FM10.
Happy Sunday! Here's to another week.

Looking Back Pt. 2

When my dad used to roast raw coffee beans.

I could use some good coffee right now.

Looking Back Pt.1

The day I've always feared has finally come.
My dear laptop only has about 8.5 GB of free space left, thanks to the overflowing photo archive that I always postponed dealing with. I finally took an initiative and went over one folder (ugh, hundreds of RAW files...this is how I'm killing my computer space), and ended up picking out ones I like that I had never noticed before. Again, sidetracked. I'm never going to get this done am I.

First Post of 2013!

Happy 2013! I have been busy, traveling from Texas to Missouri and back, but attending the Urbana conference and doing the countdown during worship was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Here are some more photos from Nikon F4 + Fujifilm 200. Super short portrait series and a horse apple.

My new years resolution? Reading more and becoming a better photographer. Maybe I'll get out of the country for a bit. Get rid of high school T-shirts I haven't worn in years. Be thankful for everything I'm blessed with. :)
